My passenger side floor is soaked after 8 hr trip from Ga to Fl. (water not antifreeze ) I suspect dash evap. drain is clogged.

Does anyone know exactly where the drain/hose is and how to access it? I did a quick look but did not see anything obvious. I figured I would ask the experts here first before I investigate further. Any help/info would be greatly appreciated.

It is a 2002 Shasta/coachmen class C, E450 SD, V10.

Thanks.

Where I volunteer fixing cars for people in-need, when the a/c drain tube is clogged, we use a fast & effective method that requires no disturbing of the vehicle. We use a shop vac and suck the debris through.

#1 - Locate the tube hanging down under the vehicle
#2 - Place the shop vac hose there and close the gap with your hands
#3 - Listen for a change in the shop vac sound. Repeat as necessary.
#4 - If the debris refused to budge, we use a screw driver to break the blockage free, then repeat step #2. But on an E-series, the tube might be real long. If so, use a coat hanger.

Of coarse it would be ideal to clean the drip pan inside, but this gets it done fast. On many of the vehicles we work on, they are old and sometimes filled with personal belongings & dirt (some people we help, live in their vehicles) that we find this to be the better way to handle it.

Thanks for the replies. I will investigate this weekend. So far the water only appears while driving, so that's why i suspected ac drain.

If it's the windshield leaking i was thinking I would notice water while it was parked. Unless it pools up somewhere and then drips into floorboard while vehicle is in motion.

I have noticed the carpet damp on the driver's side also, so leaky windshield /tray may be the culprit here.

I will update what I find out. Thanks!

I had a minivan once that did that. The tray under the windshield that collects the water that comes in the ventilation openings there had the drainage holes plugged with detritus. I used an air compressor to blow them out. No more problems.

The a/c drain is under the hood on the passenger side. You will have to remove the battery to see it.

You may have a windshield that is leaking. You can take your hand and push outwards on the glass and look for flexing at the seams.
