I'm in Connecticut. This will be my first winter with mh. Other than uv protection, why is it recommended to cover the tires?

Thanks for the input. another question. What's the advantage of parking on wood vs plain ole ground?

UV protection is reason enough to cover them. Sunshine doesn't care what the temperature is and can damage your tires any time of year. Any time the vehicle sits for more than a month without moving it a good time to put on the covers. The absolute BEST way to protect the tires is to keep them rolling though.

X2. We also cover the tires whenever we're not camping. They are 3 years old and have no visible signs of uv damage (no cracks, etc).

UV protection only.
Mine are covered all the time. Sun is the enemy.
