Trailer valet for towing 8X20 Bravo car hauler

Now that I am the proud owner of a Winnebago Access Premier, I am preparing for my spring travels. I am considering purchasing two items to help me travel. I am looking at a Bravo car hauler, 8.5 x 20. It is very heavy and I found (online) a device to help me maneuver the trailer. It is called the Trailer Valet, has anyone used one of these?

We will be using it to store the car, kayaks, bikes and dog cages. All light stuff but bulky and we want it to be secured, that s why we went with the larger trailer. We are so new to this, thought this was the right way to go, I hope I am right. It looked like the smaller ones would not have as much room once the car was in

OP, I know that you are asking about a particular trailer dolly, but the trailer you are looking at seems to be a little bit of overkill for a simple car hauler. Just curious, do you use the trailer for something else, like hauling equipment?

I will be using it to park the trailer at home since it is a very tight spot and since it only weighs 50 lbs, will bring it with me on trips just in case.

Back to your question, if you beefed up your tow to 7000#, looks like you will stress the trailer valet because it is capable of up to 500# tongue weight. If you are pulling around 7000#, I suspect the tongue weight should be 700# or so.

Just looked at the video, and it is interesting!

I forgot to mention that i increased the tow capacity to 7000 lbs by adding additional supports to the frame. I went to an Adams Distributor, who was adding the brake controller, they explained that they could give me the additional support this way. I am more concerned now with this Trailer Valet and whether anyone has used one. But back to the additional support issue, since all my responders (and i thank you for the responses) knew my tow capacity, do I need to be concerned at a weigh station?

Sorry to say this is simply not possible. It's not a support issue. The GCWR has not changed. Good luck!

His GCWR is 22,000 pounds, from the factory. That leaves a minimum of 7500 pounds towing capacity, or possibly more if he is not running at full GVWR. The upper limit for the E450 chassis is 10,000 pounds.

Back to the original topic..... That is an interesting concept. I have never seen one, but the video looks promising. Do you plan on moving the trailer around with it? Or just using it to aid with hitching up? For hitching up, you might be able to get by with just a backup camera above the hitch ball.

Weight distribution hitches do not work very well with the extended frames of many motorhomes. They work just fine on pickup trucks.

You're right. Plus, a weight distribution hitch does not increase the max. tow capacity. It simply "distributes" the weight more equally between the two axles. That improves the overall handling of the rig.

When you use a weight distribution hitch it increases the weight the hitch is rated for. Why? Only a guess. The weight distribution greatly reduces any shock caused by bumps.
My hitch is rated 5000 lb. tow, 500 weight on hitch.
When I added the WD hitch it went to 6000 lb. tow, 600 weight.
And it handles/tows much better.

I may be missing something here but a Bravo car hauler of that size weighs in at about 3500#. The MH has a 5K towing limit, what will you be able to haul?

Your new RV has a max.towing capacity of 5,000#. I know you have thought of it, but
Be sure to determine just what the combined weight of your trailer plus the weight of what you will be hauling will be. It's dangerous to overload your hitch and increase your overall stopping distance.
