waste hose attach/detach

We recently acquired a near new Coachmen Mirada. Took it on a long trip and loved it except for the attaching and detaching the waste hose. It requires one to detach the coupler, thread it thru a pipe, reattach the coupler and then attach it to the dump valve. And of course you have to reverse this cumbersome procedure when one gets done.Has anyone dealt with this? Any suggestions on how to fix this?
Your inputs will be much appreciated.

Thanks for your informative replies. I was thinking in the same direction for a solution. The folks we bought it from used the method I described and I didn't think that to be a real solution.

Thanks again for your speedy replies. Guess what I'll be doing this Sunday.

That sounds like the setup we had on our previous coach, a Coachmen Catalina. I cut a 10' hose down about a foot so it would collapse into the swivel pipe for storage while still connected to the coach drain.

Do you have to take the coupler off because it won't fit in the storage pipe?
On mine I have just a straight coupler that stays on the hose and a clear elbow that couples on the hose and the tank outlet. On the other end there is a connection for the donut that fits in the sewer hole. It all fits in the storage pipe.

That certainly sounds more convoluted than most set ups. Can you post a picture?
