Water heater bypass problem-2016 Winn Suncruiser 38Q

When i turn the bypass it does not bypass and anti-freeze goes into hot water heater. Anyone had this problem or have ideas?

Does yours have the 1 valve system, the 2 valve system, or the 3 valve system. If you have more than one valve, it's possible you don't have them all in the right position.

What sort of a bypass setup do you have? Perhaps there is a check valve that isn't operating properly (usually on the water heater output, I think). This would not apply to a three-valve bypass setup which has no check valves.

More broadly, I think it would have to be either a valve that is leaking when it should be shutting, or else operator error in setting one or more valves incorrectly. I've managed to get the settings wrong once or twice and had various rather confusing outcomes (confusing at least until I found my error).

Thanks but no it was not bypassed as the water heater was full when I dumped it. Thanks for the suggestion however.

may have been on bypass all along and when you turned the handle it actually put it to normal I have seen that more than once for sure
