Our trips in the motorhome are a big deal for us. We have 2 teenage kids and a business to run so taking a family vacation is important. We just went to Bend Oregon for a week
of dirt biking. Weather and riding were fantastic.
The only issues we the numerous problems with the coach. First off the Motosat sat dish broke. no big deal as we were out by the campfire every night as this was the first trip this year that did not have a campfire ban in place. I have already located a replacement part and will order today. First time it has given us any trouble. When I was up on the roof I noticed the clear coat peeling off the radiused roof edge panels in a few places. Not too happy about that on a 6 yr. old coach.
Then our Precision Temp hydronic heat stopped working properly. It would work for about half the night and then quit. High Desert so it was very cold by morning, high 30's for a low. I did get it to work enough for the wife and I to get 1 shower each. Kids stayed dirty. It is the worst pc of junk in our coach and has given us trouble since the coach was new. This might be the winter I replace it with a diff unit. Then the light bulb in the fridge burnt out and of course I didn't have a spare. Also noticed the fridge cooling fins are heavily frosted, Fridge could be colder and seems to run a lot. Wondering if one of the elements is bad.
Finally on the way home the water pump died. At least it waited until we were driving home.
A wonderful trip overall and I wouldn't let a few issues ruin our great time. Our last planned trip until spring break and 10 days at Motorcoach Country Club, so I have a long list prepared to keep me busy over the winter. These things are like having another home to maintain. But the wonderful time we have as a family make it all worth while.
