What's up with Coach Net ?

I am astounded by the prices that Coach Net is now charging for roadside assistance. They previously had prices a little more than $100. Their only program for motorized vehicles is now $249. What the heck happened ?

The Question isnt about renewals. Its clear Renewals of those who paid less or currently in their contract (and paid less than 249. motorized)will get lower rates
I called as a potential new customer and was given one option no "basic", It's gone for new customers.. only one plan ... 249. motorized. No guarantees on future pricing.

Read my post above I called them - this discussion is out of hand - I welcome others to call them and confirm my facts

I understand providing excellent service costs money. This is clearly a insurance type product in which they have analyzed cost and will make a profit in that most people won't use the service and those that do will cost much more than the premium .most customers will pay out more than they use That's all fine
I clearly don't understand the business model that charges so much more for new customers over existing unless it is their intention to keep those new prices and not offer the lower renewal prices to those new customers ... ever. How can you grow a business when you are so far out of line with the competition ?
Can anyone who has paid this higher price ...249 / year say if they have the renewal option of the lower prices and multi year ??

I also checked a few days ago and got the $249 price. Don't need that in addition to the Progressive I already have.

I was shocked at the price difference when I read about this once before. We signed up for a 3 year basic plan ( on our 3rd year). I wasn't logged in though, so may be a cheaper price when I am up for renewal. I also did not see the option for different plans. Just an option for towable or driveable with one price.

If you look as a non subscriber, 249 per year is all that's available! there are no multi year options etc unless I'm looking in the wrong place. I know existing customers get the page shown but if your not a current customer that doesn't exist. Try it without your member number or computer that has a cookie as you being a customer. I'd love to find the page that offers those prices!

i'm seeing the same thing you're seeing. a call to CoachNet would be in order.

I went to the Coachnet website. Did not log in.. No cookies from that site on my computer. Went to 24 hour road side assistance, clicked towable and received a page that says $179 per year

Coachnet

EDIT: Sorry.. didn't realize we were talking about Class A's... I wasn't paying attention to the sub-forum.

I can't find that price, but maybe it's a regional thing.

My question is, are you looking at the three year price or Per year price?

I was quoted what mike brez (above) shows in the pic he posted.

I've always found CN prices comparable to CW, but prices fluctuate all the time. The per year cost is more than reasonable in my opinion. Especially once you use them for what would have cost 5 times that amount.

I was looking to switch to coach net but 249 was the only price I found on a fairly quick search. I think the existing members renewal costs are cheaper because they don't want to lose all their current customers with that big a shock but how long that will last is questionable.i have Good Sam ( I've had two great experiences and one bad .. they found me service but the guy wanted 130 for the tire and 160$ 280$ total to mount a 15" utility trailer tire .. really? ) fmca and even my insurance company offer roadside at almost 1/2 the cost ( or less) for similar listed service when I compare them. Guess I'll roll the dice and stay with GS.
If you have coach net and like it you should renew for the max years because that renewal rate doesn't exist for new or "returning " customers !

Just renewed my Coach-Net for $129 for premier towable. It is $149 for premier motor home. Those are renewing rates for one year. Maybe new member rates are higher???

so for 3-yrs it's $74 p/y or $149 p/y. by comparison the Good Sam ERS is showing $69.95 for 1-yr of standard auto/RV coverage and $104.95 for 1-yr of platinum auto/RV coverage. those are "sale" prices. regular pricing for the standard plan is $117.95 and $144.95 for the platinum plan. it's not unreasonable to believe that a 3-yr GS plan would be the same or less than the 1-yr rate X 3. whether the CN or GS plans match up head-to-head remains to be seen but GS claims to now have telephone technical support much like what CN has. my point was to illustrate that the CN prices, while a bit higher, are not out of line as compared to CN.
