What to use to remove the glue from the underlayment

We got the old roof tore off and all the hardware. Now it's like walking on fly paper minus the stringy stuff. Underlayment is very tacky. What have you guys used and had success with removing glue? ...

If you do NOT re-deck the roof the NEW adhesive will not bond to the old deck/adhesive and you will have lots of visible bumps and debris showing up on top the new EPDM. There are NO shortcuts to reroofing an RV. Doug
