We both don't care for the jackknife couch that is installed in our class A and she has read somewhere that it will fit thru the front door. The door opening is about 25-3/4 wide with about 3" of that the door in the open position. The couch arms are around 30". DW says just open it up and tilt it a little. Has anyone done this? Does the passenger captain chair have to be removed? It is a 2003 Travel Supreme DP. Thanks, Rob
We did it - after unbolting it from the floor and pulling it away from wall we found out you could take it apart so it now was two separate pieces which made it lighter and easy to handle thru the door. Replaced it with an RV hide a bed sofa from Brad and Hall in Elkhart IN. It also could be taken apart so very easy to get thru door. We have been extremely pleased with the change. We did this 10 years ago. The new sofa frame was a perfect match to be rebolted to the floor.

Thanks everyone, we got it. Sides unbolt, bottom slides out, then all we had to do was open it up and out it went. Now to get the double recliner in. Thanks again.
THE dW AND I TOOK THE JACKKNIFE Couch out by opening it up and replaced with a dual recliner which was harder to get in than the couch to get out. We are both nearly 80 and we did it
Can't directly answer you "will it fit" question, but they are pretty easy to disassemble. Couple of bolts and bottom and back separate. Makes for a much more manageable removal.
