I was goin to build a truck camper, a good friend offered to sell me his 2008 Winnebago Destination motorhome. Its the rear engine gas model, would appreciate you folks views and opinions in this motorhome.
I had an 08 Destination on the Freightliner chassis. There are severe problems with the Workhorse UFO chassis, do not purchase this coach without researching the problems and deciding if it is something you can tolerate.

we have a 2008 winnie destination, 37G. We have put 25,000 miles on it in 3 years. Had to have a control board replaced last summer. (part was about $2,000). Otherwise no problems and we would buy it again!
We own an 08 Destination on a Frightliner chassis with a Cummins. Has worked great for us. Baja, Mexico, North East Coast US and Canada and last year Alaska. No problems Just do standard maintenance and all is fine. I don't know about the gas model, but it should be OK. Winnebago builds good rigs and supports thier products.
I think just as importantly, you want to ask people out there about their Workhorse UFO chassis, which the particular model Winnie is built on. You might also want to check out the Workhorse owners group over at irv2.com site.
