My nieghbor tried to leave today, and his coach won't start.

It's a 2000 Tiffin, with a cummins ISM, and the old style allison pad.
He reported that he had trouble with his hwh leevelors before he left to come here, and he did not level the coach while he was here.

Everything seems to powerup just fine.
I got the deisel running by jumping across the starter, but it won't go into gear.

Suspect some sort of interlock problem, possibly with the levelling system.

Still no joy.
He's waiting for tiffin to email him some sort of troubleshooting guide...

I pulled off the armrest panel, but not much under there, a couple air hoses for the parking brake but no switch.

You need to get power to the starter circuit and this may then power what's stopping it from moving.

Starting to think maybe it is the parking brake switch.

But I went and shut the engine down and the air dumped...
So no way to prove it other than accessing and hot wiring the switch.

Anyone got any info on this in an older high end tiffin?

What exactly is interlocked, and under what conditions?

For lack of a better suggestion I would unhook the engine batteries for several minutes. This might get the leveling system and shift pad working properly.

I think your on the right track. A Jack might not be retracted all the way up. If not, get a small jack an see if you can jack it up a little and monitor the warning light.

Wife's car won't start----
Had the same thing happen with my wife's new Honda Pilot the day we bought it we stopped for dinner and then she went to start it, no go! Fortunately I was in my car following her home. Not only does the car have to be park but your foot has to be pressing the brake petal!!!!

I know this has nothing to do with the problem but reminded me of a similar problem with the wifes car. She worked about 40 miles away from here and on shift work at that at a local hospital there.

I get this call fromhere saying my car won't start and others here have tried to start it and couldn't get it to turn over.

So I grab my GO BOX and head out her way crossinng a tow briodge etc and finally get to where the car was parked.. Got inside with my keys and right away noticed it was was sitting in drive and not park. Placed it in park and it started right up... Drove it up to the her window at work and banged on the window and got her attention and then left haha...

She caught up with me at the truck stop at the Potomac River bridge.... geesch

I made her reimburse me for the bridge tow... AT least we didn't have to pay going the other direction.

It would be nice if that was all the problem was...

True story - this is my second 'TRUE STORY' on here this morning haha

Levelling system is an HWH 610.
Not on I am familiar with unfortunately.

When you turn the system on, it lights every light on the panel and sits there.

Turn it off, everything goes off except the "Travel" light.
