Anyone going with their class A..? Late August early September time frame.

Myself and some others are planning..??...a camp out during that timeframe...staying at the Grizzly in West Yellowstone for 4-5 days and then maybe moving down to Jackson to stay in Gros Ventre campground for 2-3 days before splitting up.

You might want to join us???

My wife and are planning a trip out here in Sept. on the 10th or so. I was wanting to stay in Grizzly RV park too. Seems like the good location. We will be coming from the south and then heading to Glacier after about a week.

As one that was lucky enough to be born and raised in Jackson Hole, Yellowstone trips vary: June is best time to see the most animals. September best time for least number of tourist and kids and to hear elk bugling! May and October best chance to get snowed on.
But any trip, any time, to our nation first National Park is well worth the time.

You got that right!

If so, the luckiest people will be those sitting on top of the caldera. The rest of the country (probably the world) will experience multiple feet of ash falling which will render farmland sterile. Transportation, communications and basic services will fail. Temperatures will plummet due to the ash cloud. Sulfuric acid rain will add to the ambiance. Food shortages will lead to famine and almost certainly the breakdown of society. That is what the lucky survivors have to look forward to.

And I'll be waiting...dressed in my flip flops...Bermuda shorts...sunglasses and straw hat....but on the HOT days I might switch to a loin cloth and a pocket knife!!:E

Well if it is, I'm glad I'll be there rather than deal with the aftermath!
