There are several recipes at the Lodge website that are our favorites. Thought I'd share the ones we like.
Jalapeño Bacon Cheddar Cornbread (it has bacon, need I say more?) I just make it in a regular cast iron fry pan and cut the wedges afterwards. If jalapeños are too hot for you, try it with poblano chiles. Just as tasty.
Chicken and Drop Dumplings. I use one of those smaller sized ice cream scoops for convenience.
BACON Hasselback Sweet Taters. Mo' bacon. That says it all.
Pableaux's Monday Night Red Beans. I use the Eckrich's Smoked Sausage instead of andouille.
BACON Fried Rice.Beef and Broccoli. This is for those who are trying to eat healthy - riiiiiiiiiiigggghhhht.:R
Black Pepper Skillet Shrimp. The only way this one could be any better is if you add the B-word. :B
Buffalo Chicken Enchiladas. Cheese and plenty of it! Cheese is only second to
BACON. I make this one the campfire with most of the coals on top of the d.o. and only a few on the bottom.
