George Foreman Grill

I recently bought a George Foreman grill to use while camping (only). I prefer to use the campfire, but when it's raining and I still need to feed my family, I can use this grill as a backup plan. It's a larger size (6-serving):
Model #GRP1001BP

Anyway, I would really like to obtain some sort of cloth carrier for it. I had a portable Camp Chef oven, and they also sold a nice carrier for it. But I can't seem to find one for George Foreman grills. I thought about using some sort of laptop bag, but they are not deep enough for a grill of this size.

Any suggestions? And no, I can't sew, LOL.

I looked at a Goodwill store and found a narrow suitcase that was just the right size. If you decide to go this route, measure George first. I was lucky that it was just the right size. It takes very little room.
No brand name on our case so I cannot help you with that.

Excellent idea. Clean the interior of the suitcase well as you never know what's been in it.

Mine is a model GRP99 and measures 16W x 14D x 6H. There are other models. The recipe book says it makes 6 servings but that kind of depends on the size of the servings.
I have an enclosed porch on the rear of my house so the grill does double duty at home or on the road.

This one is about the same: 16.3" x 15.6" x 6.8"
Way too large for a laptop bag.

A zipper would be nice to keep spiders, stink bugs, etc out. Also, it would ride nicer when packed, instead of spilling-out of an open bag and then getting scratched.

Unless it was critical that it be closeable, why not just a cloth grocery bag one can buy at the check stand, generally under $5?

Another option could be a tool bag from Lowe's or Home Depot, etc..
They come in different sizes. They will be fairly heavy duty.

If it's 12x12 then a zippered tote bag for the 14" dutch oven could fit. It's made of tough cloth to handle camping abuse. Here's an example.

Note: measure the grill across the top diagonally to see if the 14" or 16" DO bag will fit.

It's too bad they don't give the actual size of the model but guesstimating I'd say it's about...5" thick...and maybe 12"x12" length and width. So something like this should fit:

LL Bean Zipper Top Canvas Tote

If it's too big line it with sheet of foam which will also protect the unit.

I bet you could find similar for a bit less at stores like WM, Target's or Bed, Bath and Beyond. Just make sure the fabric is strong with a tight weave.

HTH!
