Dish 211k HELP

I recently bought a tailgater and when I hook everything up the 211k brings up the manual point dish screen. I cannot seem to find a way to the automatic set up screen for the tailgater. A neighbor has the same system and we hooked me tailgater up to his 211k and it worked fine. When we hooked up my receiver, it still came on to the manual adjusting setup configuration. Any help would surely stop some grey hairs. Thank you

Thanks everyone for the help. A local tech came out and the issue was that as I had already started with a manually adjusted satellite and never connected to a satellite the 211k was stuck on the manual setting. He hooked my 211k up to his satellite and presto fixed.

When you power up your receiver with the tailgater hooked up go to menu and press 6, 1, 1 and go to check switch and let it do its thing.

If it is a new box, you will have to hook it up at the brick & stick location. After it is hooked up, turn on the power and it will download the software needed to run the Tailgator.

I dont have a tailgater but do a check switch with nothing hooked up and then do another check switch with the tailgater hooked up.
I have a VIP211k and a dish 500 when I'm away but when I'm home the sat is to low in the sky so I change to a dish 300 and aim it at 61.5. I have to do the check switch when I change the dish.

You may need to hook the 211 up to a manually aimed dish so it can download a software update.

Receiver problem maybe ?

My 211k and Tailgater goes straight into the auto mode when I power up, locates the sats, loads the program guide, and program comes on.

Are you going thru your RV wiring? If so, you might try connecting the Tailgater directly to the 211k receiver bypassing the internal wiring and see if it works that way. If so then you know you have a problem with the internal RV wiring.

And then try your receiver with your neighbor's Tailgater and see if that works.
