On this current trip I am on I have visited several Campingworlds. The one in Flagstaff AZ stands out for the good service and accommodating attitude of the store staff.
However there is absolutely NO parking for a customers RV, Trailer etc. Most are forced to park across the street on the dirt shoulder. I even found it hard to find a place to park just my pick up truck.
When I asked the salesman about this he said, and I quote " Oh God DONT go there." and then proceeded to tell me this: When first designed the store was to be a parts and accessories store only then at the last minute it was decided to put in RV sales. As he pointed to a section of the parking lot and to the RV for sale parked there he said that all those spaces were intended for customers. Now all taken with RV's for sale.
This apparently is not uncommon as I visited a store in Colorado with the same issues last Spring and got just glares from the staff when I mentioned it.
I am fully aware that RV sales possibly bring in more overall dollars than the store on an individual basis. But relegating your store customers to a second class status and not having parking is inexcusable. Someone needs to kick some #ss and get the parking spaces cleared out for store customers. It's obvious the Sales Department has got all the clout.
This was my second visit to this store where I spent $700 this spring for a generator and this time spent $460 for an assortment of stuff. I dont think I should have to schlep this stuff across the street to put it in my vehicle (even with staff help).
