Navigating Forum Threads

For years when I am through a thread on this site, I just click on the back arrow and the screen reverts back to the subject listings.

Recently, that will not work. I have to click on the forum button and then proceed back to where I was on the thread and open another subject.

Any ideas? I had a hard time figuring out how to post this issue.

Why not just click the forum title link which will take you back to the index of topics?

Also, try hitting the "Backspace" key, not the back arrow key, which should take you back to the last visited pages based on your browser's history.

If you right click on the Back arrow do you see the pages you were at previously? If so what happens when you select one of them?

What does 'through a thread' mean? A back arrow click will return to whatever page you were on last.

Perhaps you should post this in FTS, aka FHS forum.

:S should have said finished reading through a thread and want to go back to thread topics listing.

It sounds like you accidently hit ctrl+shift+del, which clears yours browser cache or you turned off caching. Check Tools-> Internet Options and settings within the Browsing History area. Make sure that automatically is checked. This applies to IE 9. My back button works with these settings.
