New RVer's, remember your surge protectors!

This is just a lesson I learned first time I turned on my Dutchmen 28GGS, about the importance of having a good quality surge protector. I powered on my camper for the first time to ensure everything was working properly, only running the fridge, AC and one light.... within minutes my camper blew a fuse and I was completely off guard! I was lucky enough that it didn't happen out on a camping trip, but I feel I need to pass this along to every new RVer before Y'all get out there and it ends up ruining a trip.

Happy Camping!

blowing a fuse has almost nothing to do with using a surge protector. Fuses are used on the 12 volt dc side of the electrical system. Surge are for the 110 volt alternating current side of the system.
