Similar has been done in the past but the difference is that they didn't go with stock Android OS so that you could have resizable windows and true multi-tasking. Looks interesting but I doubt I would get the dock as it's probably cost prohibitive, haven't seen the dock cost yet.

A former really sharp IT co-worker in my office, who now works at Homeland Security, has been doing this since Samsung Note4. When he travels, he doesn't lug around a laptop anymore. He basically just packs a portable Bluetooth keyboard/trackpad in his suitcase, and a wireless HDMI mirror adapter to connect to the hotel's LCD. As a backup, he carries a tiny Pico projector. Both serve as his monitor. Then remotes back to his home PC that does the heavy lifting.

He has access to all his apps, files, and can watch local cable broadcasts most anywhere. Big NY Giants fan.

In fact, he got me onto Samsung Notes, now on my third.

did not get a large amount of adopters

the phones were popular, the costly docking station could be duplicated with more features with a net book or small laptop for less money spent
