Smart Phone Remote App

I cannot believe no one has asked this. I have searched the forums and found nothing. My RV did not come with the remote for the Jensen CD/DVD/MP3 AM/FM Stereo. There is an IR window, so it must be compatible. My question is, has anyone found a smartphone remote control app to run these items? Or is there a programmable remote app that if i find the right code i can input it. I'm really trying hard not to spend anymore money.

current smart phones do NOT have an IR output
you can find apps that control Wifi enable devices BUT NOT IR

get the model number off the Jensen and buy a cheap universal remote that supports that model

searching for IR control will not find anything.. because there is nothing to find

Go to Walmart and get a universal remote.

This is the first trip that we will have a TV. We typically boondock, so never had a need. I will pull the fuse for the stereo while boondocking just have the battery last a bit longer. I read the descriptions on the apps that have pricing but they don't say for sure and I don't want to lose any money on that.
