Does Verizon still have the best nationwide (lower 48) coverage in general or has ATT caught up?

The majority of the places we go, both AT&T and Verizon work pretty well, but we do find some places where one works and the other doesn't on occasion. More commonly though, it's one works better than the other. We've found it worthwhile to have both available to us for the best overall coverage...

I had Verizon for many years and now I have ATT. Personally I haven't noticed any real difference in coverage but where I've been has been limited so it's a small sample size. I had just the opposite experience as donn0128. I left verizon because of a bad customer service incident that they had no interest in correcting. I've now been with ATT for 2.5 years. It has been cheaper for me and overall I've been happy but with all big companies, YMMV

I asked him to do one thing and he didn't do any of them.

weโ€™ve had verizon wireless for many, many years. other than mountain valleys weโ€™ve never not had a useable signal. plus their customer service is, IMO, second to none.

Based on my experiences with ATT/Directv I would stick with Verizon

I have found dead spots with both. You canโ€™t go wrong with Verizon, but there are places where ATT has better service, and places where neither are available.
