Anyone using a dishwasher in their caravan? Thoughts?

Hiyya All, we've had a 20ft van for 5 years now, and for the amount of time we have used the oven we're thinking we should have gone for a dishwasher instead - with a family of 4, certainly would have been more useful on way more occasions given we mostly stay in van parks.

Does anyone have a dishwasher https://dishwasherfaq.com/best-dishwasher-detergent/ in their van, and if so, what do you think of it? A quick scan of the www only returns three main brands that I have found that are 'caravan friendly': Dometic, Momo and Omega. Price between the three varies widely, which means also their quality. Other than the Momo, none seem to have any reviews posted, and the Momo reviews reflect benchtop operation in a small apartment kitchen. Anything that is built for apartment use to me suggests that it will not handle the vibration and environment of a van, so perhaps Dometic, as van gadget suppliers, are really the only option?

Anyone have any experience/thoughts?

Have a Fisher and Paykel drawer dishwasher, works well. It is quiet and minimal water usage. I personal hate eating off of paper plate, so we use our dishwasher alot.

We have a dishwasher in our ClassA DP and it works great. We surprisingly use ours alot and it gives us more RnR time!

Can't imagine a dishwasher would be worth the bother. Be conservative with how many dishes you use, use paper plates, sometimes plastic silverware and have everyone do their own dishes if everyone is 5 or over.

I have one in our TC. Works great as long as I mix her a cocktail while she’s doing dishes.

I just checked my (residential) dishwasher. The sticker lists the maximum load as 9A, with the heater taking 5.5A and the motor 2.2A. I don't personally use the heater ever, but even if I did it would not overly tax a 30A RV power connection if used with a little bit of care, and could easily coexist with the air conditioner if no other especially large loads were in use at the same time.

I don't know of any household dishwasher offhand that needs more than a 15A circuit. (I also have not made anything like a thorough survey of all the models available.)

Edit: water usage is also not excessive, particularly if one is hooked up to utilities. I think its a couple gallons or so to fill a normal dishwasher; in some cases, less water overall than handwashing. It doesn't need a super high flow, as the machine fills and then uses its pump to spray the water around, and the fill can take however long it needs until the float switch says there's enough water.
