Decisions, decisions. DP or Class C Toyhauler

Hi All,

I'm thinking of getting an RV that will primarily be used to take me and my motorcycle racing. I will be on the road at least 10,000 miles, maybe even as high as 15,000 per year. Since I'm going to be on the road so much I'm drawn to a DP, I found a one owner 2001 Allegro Bay with 20,000 miles, new tires (as in 1 week old), new jacks, and recent roof seal/maintenance (there were no leaks) for $38,400. I've also found a '06 Funmover (class C toy hauler) with 15k for roughly the same price but no known history.

I am planning on $2500-3k budget for service costs, does this seem reasonable for a DP of this age?

Thanks in advance for the opinions. -Snack

Much better off with a class 8 Super C.

What chassis the funmover is on would sway me-big difference between a chevy cutaway and a ford f750...

Your budget can be a toss up beings that your driving style and rate of previous abuse will both come into play but $3k annually for maintenance should cover most problems over the long haul.
