As our journey unfolds, we have just purchased a 40 foot Cherokee 304BH from Big Daddy's RV in London Ky. Did the walkthru on Friday, and it will be going to Anchors Aweigh RV Resort. We will be there for Jan, Feb and Mar. We have found some great checklists thanks to these forums!!
We stayed in budget, and are very excited about this new adventure. We have a long list of things to do to close up our home and winterize it, and would certainly suggest that folks plan on spending LOTS of time searching these forums for advice. Thanks to all those who replied to our earliest questions....:)

I agree check it out first to find possible problems. We bought new last November and next week will take it back for the 3rd time.
Not only will you find the problems but learn how everything works.
Have a great trip.

Before your big snowbirding trip I would suggest you take it out to a campground now and practice with everything so you would still have plenty of time to take it in for repairs. Have a good winter!
