Ever heard of any Escapees park shutting down?

Has anybody heard of any Escapees park shutting down? Either because of financial or any other reason?

We were mis-treated at one park and not given the truth. (Our only bad dealings with Escapees). We have been members long enough to realize that not giving the truth is not the Escapees way and elected park management over the years let stuff go down hill. That's what lead to financial problems.

I think they have financials under control now. We're thinking about getting on waiting list again. But wanted to find out if any Escapees park has ever closed because of financial or any other reason.

Thanks to all that responded and PM'd. We've been members around 20 years. Totally great organization. We have been lease holder at 3 different parks. Details of what happened to us and several others have been left out on purpose. Was not my purpose when posting question.

Nobody has heard of any...so case closed in my opinion.

I have read many posts from folks who felt "Mistreated" at various parks, they fall into a few different classes.
Some folks were genuinely mistreated
Some had excessive expecations.

But as for Escapee's parks.. I do not see much about them in this manner.

As for parks closing.. From time to time MANY parks have closed, for short times, due to this or that reason.. Generally what are called "Acts of Nature" (Fire, Flood, etc) Sometimes folks feel upset over the closures.

Since we have no details of what happened to you... All the above is generic and not one word of it specific to your case.

No. None have closed. We've been to all of them and definitely have never been 'mistreated'. Not sure what you're getting at.

I've been an Escapee since 2002, and have never heard of that.

I'm sure it would have been mentioned on the Escapees Forum if one had closed or was about too. I haven't seen even a hint of anything like that so far. Which one are you referring to?

I take it you're talking about an Escapees sponsored co-op park, rather than one of the Escapees Club owned parks. As far as I know, none of the co-ops have folded for any reason, but since each one is individually member owned and managed, I suppose it's certainly possible that one could get into financial or other trouble, just as any other park can.
