Have you thought about work camping. James Island is usually looking for campers to help with their Christmas light display. Also the National Park system may be looking for help at Ft. Moultrie, Ft. Sumter and Charles Pickney Historical Site

I've stayed a couple of times for a week at the Mt. Pleasant KOA. A beautiful setting, and nice folks running it. There were several full timers staying there. If you're heading south on US17, its on the left. And before you get into Charleston. Downtown Charleston's a very busy place at rush hour if you're pulling a toad and trying to turn around. Don't ask how I know that.
Retired and visiting as much of this beautiful country as I can.

Lake Aire has a lot of full timers. So does the KOA at Mt. Pleasant

Hi--we spend lots of time at Lake Aire Campground in Rantowles which is just south of Charleston. Less traffic and congestion and an easy few mile commute in to Charleston itself. Seems like they have a section set aside for full-timers.
