BTW We have towed the 04 CRV 75K miles and it's been driven 75K miles so good choice on your part. The only significant problem was last month when a front wheel bearing had to be replaced.

BE SURE you follow the CRV towing directions EVERY TIME. DW and I always check the turn signals, brake lights and pull a few feet for a check. One time the power cable wasn't completely plugged in and another time the ebrake was set. All communicated with hand held radios.

You need the base plate, the tow bar, safety cables, electrical connections for the running lights and turn signals and brake lights, an auxiliary brake for the toad and a break away safety cable.

There is a wide variation of equipment and options to choose from.
