Subaru as dinghy

We have a 2015 thor vegas 24.1.
We want to tow our 2018 Subaru Impreza, 5 speed manual trans.

I know that Subaru no longer recommends any of it's vehicles for dinghy towing. BUT, was wondering if anyone does it anyway, especially the Impreza. Mainly interested if any is towing the 2018 models of any Subaru. If do, any problems?

Why would you invest a lot of money to set up car to tow that the manufacturer says not to tow? Do you think that somehow you will be immune from any expensive mechanical damage caused by doing something the manufacturer says not to do?

With all due respect, you are foolish to go down this road. Buy a vehicle that the manufacturer says can be towed and set that vehicle to tow.

Thanks for the info on the baseplate.
I was also looking for real life experience of someone using a Subaru as a dinghy, even though Subaru does not recommend it.
