Caulking Slide Seams ????

see the picture of my bedroom closet slide below. Should I remove the excess butyl putty that has oozed out of this seam and then put caulking over it??? it does not have caulking now.

Also, the slide itself does not have putty in the seam where it meets the trailer but rather a black foam. should I caulk this area as well??

Yes, you can trim the putty and caulk the seam if it bothers you. The other side with the foam is probably best left alone.
