A couple of years ago I installed a dual computer fan in the frige.

it worked great and just clipped into the shelf.

I have been floundering around trying to find the info again since mine is now very noisy and going south.

if anyone has a quick referral for that fan I wuld appreciate it. thanx

Satchelpaigefan,

Thank you for your post. I didn't consider it an advertisement on your part. I am glad to know about this "nice" looking fan. I have thought about a fridge fan many times but I thought the computer type were tacky looking. I along with many others paid big bucks for our units and I wanted to keep up the quality look.

I agree that the price is high but low production units equate to high production costs. I might order mine tonight.

Thank you again and please continue alerting this forum to possible options.

So satchelpaigefan, which one are you "satchelpaigefan" or "fithwheeltraveler"? "Fifthwheeltraveler" is the one who posted the picture of the train.

It's fine when people recommend a product or service, but you joined the site a couple days ago, shortly after "fifthwheeltraveler" and all of your posts were nearly word-for-word the same: about the FridgeFix. And they were nearly the same word-for-word as the posts by "fifthwheeltraveler". It just seemed to me you and "fifthwheeltraveler" had joined the forum to talk about this wonderful invention.

Just seemed pretty odd to me. And I lived in St. Joseph for several years and am very familiar with that particular train. It looks much better in your(?) picture than it did the last time I saw it.

Thank you Airstreamer. My husband (the fella by the train) has a very bad back, and we simply could not lug the food around any longer. We just thought we would chime in...

I have been on the Durango/silverton RR before, and OH WHAT FUN! It was gorgeous in the fall... If you remember C.W. McCall, he used to sing a few songs about the D&RG. Galloping Goose, and silverton train were two I remember... I even have an autographed record! C.W. (real name is Bill Fries) was actually the mayor of Ouray Colorado for a number of years after he stopped singing. What an original!

Rkentzel- I will make the suggestion to hubby regarding that train museum ! Last time we were in California, all we did was drink wine! We went to a great one in Montreal a few years ago. We even rode on a mini train during our visit. We loved it, and the Canadian railway history is really neat

I would not mind trying the fridge fix but the price is out of line.

Satchelpaigefan, of course you are not out of order. What you did is regularly done by posters here and elsewhere. Thanks for the information.

I think a couple of posters just got enthusiastic in railing about what they considered an irritating website, also not an unusual forum event.

I love trains too, especially riding the old classics like the Durango-Silverton. I'll have to visit St Joe to see the James house and the train (which I'm sure Jessie would love to have robbed back in the day).

So my husband and I bought something, and shared our result with others on here, and its advertising? You are right, it's biased, because we like it and are thankful we don't have to defrost anymore.

Maybe this is different than other forums we have been on. I saw the above poster reference something they had tried, so we did the same. (the can do it, and we cannot?) It's not like we are made of money being on a fixed income. We simply stated that it bothered us having to spend money on the fan from Ebay and we found the thing that we bought worked good for us.

We have been rv'ing on and off since 1975, and find the suggestions and cautions from other fellow rv enthusiasts to be very important. Are you the guy who makes them on Ebay? If so, I am sorry if my comments are upsetting, they were not meant to be.

Take Care-

PS, you really should make it up to see that train in St. Joseph, it is huge. My husband looked like a child standing next to it.

Sharing some information about RVing stuff is great, posting "advertising" is not so great since that information is not unbiased.

We agree Mexico, the website was a turnoff. Was there really a guy in a pink suit on there?

RJ, here is another attempt at the train. (we are not great at posting stuff like this)

Hi FJ12, we were just through Platte City on our way up to St. Joseph to see some friends. If you have not been to the Jesse James house, we highly recommend it. And there is this train

My husband is a train buff, and that thing was very neat.

We think the thing works pretty good, and thought others would like to hear about it. My husband has a bad back and seeing him lug that cooler around killed me. I thought that was what these forums were about, to share with others about rv'ing? If I stepped on someones toes I apologize.

Whatever the gizmo is, that website is a mess. Reminds me of a "Ron Popiel Infomrcial".

Click on an information box, and yet another appears. All screaming "Buy Me Not Chinese Fakes!" Flashing before and after images showing evaporator fins.

Someone in a magenta and fuschia paisley suit with fluorescent tie designed that Barnum & Bailey website and I lost interest quickly. Products that WORK should have pragmatic websites with informative links and not require a shopper to click and click and click to hunt for a price.

What a shame. Maybe this is a good product. I'll not return I don't feel like playing a video game to see if I am interested.

Hmm, so far I see 2 very recent, as in the last week or so, posters extolling the virtues of the FridgeFix. These 2 posters have only talked about how wonderful this device is. I believe they may be something other than they appear to be. ๐Ÿ™‚

The FridgeFix looks like a nice piece of hardware that shouldn't need false posters raving about how well it works. It should be able to stand on its merits.

When we decided to buy our unit, we had just had our third eBay fan fail. On my my did that thing howl when those fans started wearing out. Apparently the guy puts some super long life fans in these things. It's pretty quiet.

The other thing we like was that we didn't sacrifice shelf room when it was installed. We have kids and grand kids. With as small as the refrigerator is, we needed every inch...

Not every product works for everyone, but this was a no-brainier for us.

bobmacc- our refrigerator was a huge block of ice on the right side before we installed our "fridge-fix". Tt took about 2 days for all of the ice to melt and it has NEVER returned. We travel in just about ever climate, and no ice... I think there is just too much air flow for it to form...
