Inverter reset questions

Just opening this for discussion. Coming back from N Dakota last spring I had an inverter stop working and I had to reset (push the button - big job 😉 ) I could not figure why. When we too the coach out of storage this spring it had been plugged in all winter. In checking the batteries I found they were all low of water. These batteries are the original house batteries that came with the coach (2008) The inverter had to be reset again.
Is it possible that a battery or two may be failing and this is causing the inverter to go offline?
Ideas or possible causes?

I think this happens a lot: people run their batteries into the ground before replacement. Hence the argument that 2 6v batteries will not be good if one fails. No, not if you work them to death.

oldman - just lights that come on when it goes offline.

Thanks folks, I guess I had figured it was batteries- these have been very good ones and are 8+ years old. Hoping it was not, but knowing better 🙂 Got find a local source now that will have the size that fits in the tray.

Water below the plates? If so I would go ahead and replace all and see how it goes.
You can haul them down for testing but I would assume the batteries are gone from simple old age.

Does your inverter/charger have a panel or lights of some kind that tell you what's happening?

Battery failure can easily be verified with a voltmeter.

Yes..
It is the charger section of the inverter/charger combo that is tripping out
Time to replace the batteries
I can explain it to you.
