Learning 101 Thermistors

Thermistor range needed hopefully near zero but 10 ohms will do fine.

Upper resistance 200 ohms

Inverse operation. Meaning lower temperature to 0°F the lower the resistance.

Upper range 200 ohms at 50c or 122°F.

Of couse I can use a pull-up resistor within reason.

I need to narrow the performance window then concentrate on getting a bullet proof package. A thermistor to be glued or screwed onto a battery lug with leads to a weather pack terminal.

I forgot to bring my Newark catalog. Too many sites encourage contact with a traveling salesman. Tacos over techtalk?

Thermistors do NOT have a true linear relationship between temperature and resistance. At extremes they are non-linear. If you range is 0F - 122F, you should have no problem.

(Automotive thermistors are not very accurate below about 0F or above about 240F.)
