Stubborn tightwad here with request for ideas. I have the above on my very dated Newmar (94). I have had my share of problems with the genset. Mostly of the same nature. I think I have narrowed something down but not sure what. Ok, I started my rv they started genset with only the refrigerator running on it. About 30 minutes later, since everything was running smoothly, I turned on the front air conditioner. I ran this way without incident for about 2 two hours then the air conditioner went off. The light went out to indicate the generator was not running and I just left it like that till I got to my camp site. When I got out the genset was making that kinda soft clicking noise. I pushed the stop button and it quit. Pushed the start button and the brand new starter was locked up. This has happed before. I thought I had tried to start the genset when it was actually running in the past, but I did not do that this time and still, it seems like something causes the starter to engage. It ruins the starter. I am suspicious of the remote starter switch, but, I am not sure where it is connected to the genset. Any help appreciated.
