Slide repair questions HWH system

Sorry for the length of this post, but

I am going through a repair issue and looking for info, suggestions and opinions.

I have a 2004 Itasca Suncruiser, 33V model on Workhorse chassis with HWH levelers and slide system, 2 slides.

Last year had the guides replaced for the main slide, and noticed that the adjustment seemed lower than the original factory setting, after questioning this my repair shop said it is to factory specs. I noticed it seem about a 1/2" lower in the extended position causing (to me) extra effort to retract the slide.

This year I now have a fluid leak at the slide. Repair shop said front slide cylinder needs to be replaced. Done, now in adjusting the front to back movement so they retract at the same time, they state the rear cylinder is leaking and needs to be replaced.

I believe the wrong adjustment to the slide is causing undue pressure to the system as it now has to lift as well as retract the slide, causing the seals to fail.

Your thoughts?

Thanks in advance
Alan

Thanks for your replies, I'm not looking for ammo just trying to understand the system and the repairs needed.

You have a 13 year old RV. HWH pumps run at about 3000 psi. There is NOTHING that can cause a seal to leak. The slide is jammed. The slide takes MORE force to retract or extend. The slide Binds. None of this will cause the seals to leak. The seals leak because they have worn out. Remember, there is PRESSURE on the slide cylinders and hoses when both retracted and extended. Doug

PS, Besides, if you are looking for ammo or confirmation that they have done something to cause your problem, the ONLY resource will be HWH. You need to talk to HWH. They will tell you what I have posted above.

The pump should not be able to exceed the hose and cylinder max pressure. Every time my slides reach the end of travel they stall waiting for me to release the button. No limit switch. Cylinders do leak and need to be repaired.

But I have a Lipper system.
