TT underside protectant

I have a used Traillite by Trailcruiser and just returned from Alaska. The gravel really did a number on the bottom of my trailer. There is a thin plastic membrane that covers the entire bottom. But the rocks have chewed it up pretty bad. It is very loose in spots and damaged in others. What should I do? Remove the damaged part and recoat the bottom with something? I fear I won't be able to waterproof it and it will quickly rot. Any advice? Thanks.

I will make a Home Depot run this weekend. Sounds like the right approach.

With those sizes the material I am thinking of would be perfect, if you want me to be more specific I will give you product details.... Let me know. As a matter of fact We have an Artic Fox TT, the entire bottom is covered in this material in black....silicone will hold it up as long as the surface you are gluing to is clean and sound. I would cut plywood to match the sizes of the panels and post the plywood off the ground wedging the panels in place until the silicone dries.....good luck.

I thought about some thin plastic and maybe some silicone around the edges. Don't think I can make that waterproof where it butts up to the frame and sides. The area affected is about 6 to 12" wide around the entire perimeter of the underside of the trailer. I think it's plywood above the plastic.

Hard to say without seeing, depending on the size of the sections I would be looking to cut and glue new 1/8" plastic board or panel. home depot makes a striaded rigid panel 2x8 white that would work well....I use this type of panel to template for countertops....
