Winterizing Black Tank Rinser

So do I just blow it out with an air compressor or rig up a way to pump pink stuff through the line?

Unless I missed it.
I see no mention of winterising procedures in those instructions.
I also see no mention of fall or putting any pitch on the piping?

just an elaborate vacuum break with a rise that would be impossible to mount on 99% of the RVs out there. talk about a CYA example.

yep but you also need the installation kit, hose, bracket mount, etc. the accessible location on my black tanks has been at the outlet area and you want the flush mounted on the side opposite it.

We Have a Truck Conversion Class 8 MH.....MY HOLDING tanks are in an enclosed heated compartment behind a lower door, my NF Flush was easy to install and easily accessible for hooking up the hose ......Top of the tank on the same side as the outlet so the spray hits the back wall and sides of tank and washes everything out nicely....

that installation is directly opposite of the recommended one. would be better on the side opposite the drain to push stuff out and to break up the pyramid under the stool. I sort of gave up the idea of installing one on my new TT since the side opposite is buried. may look into installing one adjacent to the drain:????

Hook up the hose to the No Fuss Flush before you install it... I don't think it matters where you place it, it is an intense shower blasting around your tank....if you google image Black Tank Flush Location you will see many examples of the install on the drain side....

Exactly Bumpy,
the physics maybe at work but I don't know if there is a quality controlled building process to go along with it.
I don't think the builders put any effort into ensuring the hoses are supported and angled to ensure all water drains out.
In the end its the luck of the draw and a gamble.
Blowing lines will be very beneficial. The pink stuff is foolproof.

I think the confusion here lies in the type of black tank flush system, I installed my own NO FUSS FLUSH......it has no pipes, check valves etc....it's just a 2-1/2" long stub that gets mounted on the side of your holding tanks, hose connection at one end, several small holes on the interior of tank side......there is no place for water to collect.....

nope all of my systems have been similar but I didn't want to have to crawl under the motorhome and unscrew the hose from the flush device.

No just trusting physics....

but you are trusting physics and also trusting that the RV manufacturer constructs these things with a certain degree of precision, which they don't. last I checked on my rinser, it was hooked up with a flexible hose that was not sloped to drain.

Blowing out should be sufficient, however I can easily pump antifreeze into the black tank flushers using my outside faucet via the convenience center.

This is the way I do it. A short hose from the outside shower faucet to the black tank flush inlet does the trick.
