'14 ram 2500 loses the leafs

Didn't see this posted anywhere yet. In the release about the 6.4 hemi it mentions the 2500 will have the same rear suspension setup as the 1500 without losing any capacity. Bold and what I think is a smart move by ram. Will certainly better differentiate the 2500 from 3500 as has been often discussed here. They are making an aggressive play for market share with quite a few firsts of late (8spd, LD diesel, air suspension etc)...

if a new Ram can haul or tow 30,000 lbs how can it not be on the stiff side?

The new front suspension should have been installed on the 2500 '13 models as well. The bone jarring ride of the current 4 link front suspension is one of the reasons I ran away from purchasing a RAM.

I read about it yesterday and I found the air bags on the 3500 interesting also. I was wondering if the 2014 MY are going to use softer leaf springs for ride comfort when not towing, and air up the bags for heavy loads. I frankly don't understand adding air bags to a 3500 DRW unless something changed from the 2013 springs.

I should have read your link first. Yes softer springs. I'm certainly glad they had the hitch adapter problem which resulted in me waiting till next spring to buy a new truck :B
