19 - 23 ft good Quality, need suggestions

Down sizing, would like suggestions for 19 - 23 ft good Quality trailer.
Want 1 slide, carrying capacity over 1300 lbs. Bed that's always down. Lots of cabinets and storage. Comfortable and enough storage for long trips of 30 - 60 days. Moving from a 30 foot 2 slide fifth wheel. Thank you in advance for your suggestions.

Skyline made several campers in that range before folding.
Ours has the island queen, u-shaped dinette in a small slide, lots of storage, and a large bathroom. We haven't seen one we like better. Just the two of us and the dog.

I have a 23' Surveyor, all aluminum cage construction with fiberglass exterior.
It is 9 years old with lots of back road miles put on it and is still in real good condition. No leaks, no cracks, no delamination, no separated seams inside or out, just faded decals.

Lwiddis, I've seen Mini-Winnie's out and around, and they have struck me as similar to ours when I've seen them. Don't know anyone who has one to get a peek inside! No one could question your TT's quality, as far as I know.

But that pass-thru in ours is a great feature. For instance tonight we have in there various plastic crates to store categories of gear in there (electrical, potable water, cleaning supplies, dog stuff, laundry/dirty clothes). Then we carry 2 or 4 folding camp chairs, a utility tarp, insecticide, a couple of bags of Lynx leveling blocks, 4 wheel chocks, a pair of those short (flimsy!) folding camp tables, a tub for premixed packages of "geo method" black tank treatment, my fishing tackle and other stuff I've forgotten. Coachmen does provide a pretty nice picnic table that is suspended and strapped from the pass-thru's upper aluminum bracing. (We use that quite a lot.) All that gear contributed to this morning's measured tongue weight of 475 lbs before we shoved off.

If we really were smarter and more disciplined than we are, we could make better use of that space, probably. It's easy to get lazy with it.

It's a couple's camper, but we have yet (over almost 2 years) to figure out how to use all of the available storage. CCC of 2,005 lbs. - more than we will ever use. Full size Queen bed, and it is flanked by two wardrobe closets and plenty of overhead storage above the bed. Has a mini-slide hosting a jack-knife sofa. Huge pass-thru storage. 10'+ high and 8' wide and 22'+ bumper to hitch.

I'm sitting under our powered awning as we speak at Lake Livingston State Park in Texas enjoying a cool breeze in the woods - just a few hours before the front comes through with heavy thunderstorms tonight! Took us about a year to settle on this rig, and we have been very happy with it.

That said, you've received some great recommendations in this thread. Check them out and let us know what you do.

I think this one would work, we never have more than the 2 of us old folks. Will have to try and find one nearby to see in person. Like all the storage by the bed and the pantry.

I have a Surveyor by Forest River. It isn't a Lance, but it is a mid-range product and price. I can tell a very clear difference between it and my first, entry level trailer. Ours has bunks in the rear, but we both comment it would be a nice two person trailer without the bunks and a then a larger bath. But, alas, we have children.

You can join Lance Owners of America and get a look at their for sale section. Used Lances are rare for a reason, it's the quality!

Take a look at the Riverside manufacturing web site. There is a full compliment of trailers, tear drop up to fivers. some with slide outs some without. Some with bunks some with walk around bed. Take a look and see if any meets your needs and wants.

I have to agree, Jayco vs Lance is like comparing a fine bottle of wine to "Boone's Hill" The Lance is pricey but the best built on the TT front. If you've got the budget, get a Lance!
