Is that an Alko Axis or RBW slide mechanism? There's a long rack with driven by a pinion gear, with an intermediate drive shaft pinned to geared down motor assembly.
IIRC mine is model GSO-48829-1.
The motor of that thing is powerful enough to snap off the welded-on angle iron stop. It also tore up the intermediate drive shaft while I ran through several shear bolts.
After replacing the drive shaft and using Grade 8 shear bolts from Alko (think the originals were SS), I've been much more careful about hitting the stops. Now I just make sure the seals are reasonably secure around the edges.
