The navigation system on my 2015 Silverado HD is terrible as fas as giving it voice commands and finding things and is limited in what you can do manually when the vehicle is in motion. If you download the onstar remote link app you or a passenger can use that to search for a destination and send it to the nav system. Works way better and turned an almost useless system into something worth while.
I agree. Same problems with infotainment center. Whoever wrote the manual did not do it in front of the center. Their help line couldn't get it to work properly. My dealer worked through it but there were many steps to work through (better take notes). A you tube search was the best solution.
I just traded from a 2014 ram with nav to a 2016 gmc with Nav. The Ram was intuitive and easy to use. After a few months with this GM it is still frustrating to get it to do what I want
Just saving my cabin location into memory took me 10 tries but I think I have it figured out. When you hit save, the system puts the address as the name automatically so you have to delete the address before typing in cabin or Bob or whatever. Why wouldn't it just go to a blank space with a blinking cursor?
WOW someone else besides me has a problem with GM navigation.I think the author of the manual never saw the unit he was instructing for.Good thing I know how to read a road map.
