Do they manufacture a TT with opposing slides
with a dry weight of less that 5500 lbs.

Didn’t know if that’s unrealistic or not thanks

rather than looking at brochure "dry weight" look at the yellow sticker in the trailer. that will list (at least on trailers built after about 2010) the actual weight as it left the mfg. It does not include the weight of batteries or the weight of propane.

And for empty tongue weight it usually is WAY off what actual tongue weight will be. First it excludes the battery(s) and propane, which immediately add almost directly to tongue weight. Or weight of anything you add.

In my case empty tongue weight from the factory was around 800lbs, but actual tongue weight loaded with water etc. is 1400. Quite a difference!

As mentioned, dry weight is fictional and should be ignored.
A wise method to use....make sure your TV can safely tow the GVWR of trailer.

TTs are a lot like people.
They tend to gain weight from the day they are born.

Some manufacturers list the delivered weigh as configured. Jayco is one.

You need to quit looking at dry weight. Instead, look at the Gross Weight.
That is the dry weight plus the cargo carrying capacity.
The Keystone above is about 7500 pounds max loaded.
That’s over 1100 pounds tongue weight at 15%
That doesn’t give you much left from your 1604 pounds payload of the truck.

Usually, the dry weight listed is way off from delivered weight and that can be low, also.
My trailer had a brochure weight of 3600#. Delivered weight of 3820#. Scale weight of 4200# on the way home, dead empty. Though this doesn’t change the gross weight, it does change the cargo capacity and makes it more likely you will be nearer the max weight. That will increase the tongue weight, taking away from your truck’s payload.
