Advice needed for connecting LED strip RGBWW 5-pin

I read most tips. Purchased this RGBWW waterproof kit from Supernight on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1). Since my 2013 Jayco 308RETS is under warranty, drilling a whole into my camper was out of the question. I envisioned the set mounted under the gutter of my 18' awning, bought an extension cable from Amazon (http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B...?ie=UTF8&psc=1) to run from top of awning to under the camper that would then be connected to the remote controller which is connected to DC adapter that is in a Sockit box attached to an extension cord. I bought the 3M auto molding tape. When testing the led roll of lights I quickly figured out the RGBWW is based on 5 wires/5-pin and the extension is 4-pin and can't locate a replacement extension cord. I didn't test the remote (should have). Mounted the strip as the tips suggested and realized how happy I was not to trust that tape that came with it as it quickly came off. Once all was done 2 things were issues. First is the connection from the led strip to remote controller is not fit correctly and looses connection easily. Secondly the remote doesn't work.

So does anyone have some tips to help this RV girl to get her lights working? I purchased 5 color/pin wire from Amazon tonight. How can I connect the led connection to the wire without having the male and female connections already attached to the wire once I cut it to size? Are there any easy snap and connect gadgets out there that I can use and then shrink wrap the wires to the gadget to waterproof them? I don't know how to solder something.

Because the remote is defective leaving me to buy a new one and I do like to control things with my iPhone, should I buy the LEDENET remote control system with the MI-Light wifi bridge (http://www.amazon.com/Controller-con...ontroller+wifi) to replace the standard remote controller that is known not to have much range?

Please help me figure out how to overcome these issues

I would just drill the hole and do it right. If you seal the hole properly you will not cause a problem with the warranty.

I bought that same wire and it arrived yesterday. How do I connect the appropriate needle male connector piece to the wires? The piece that connects to the LED Strip. Amazon sells these but not sure how I would connect the wires. Any advice?

I also have an RGB+WW strip. I found this 5-wire extension from Amazon, here: 5-wire LED cable

I covered the cable in white shrink tubing, and brought it into the trailer through the fridge vent.

Hi-I did remove the plastic cover to the remote. I do think the battery is probably junk. I did get 1/2 the amount of the kit back from Amazon yesterday after I spoke to them that the kit was junk. I used the money to buy another remote. Rather than throwing money after that bad emote. I purchased the other remote yesterday (http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GEV6P8U/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) without the wifi bridge as you suggested. My brother is making a 5 wire extension for the LED. I purchased an extension cord waterproof protector (http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00883RM2U/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) yesterday think I can use that to put around the connection from the LED strip to the extension. It will help with keeping them together and will keep water out for the most part. Wish me luck!

For an extension for my led strip, I simply cut the wire leading out of the control box, and wired in 12 ft of wire from an electrical supply store. The wire I used has 4 separate wires inside, because I only have rgb, not rgbw.

Did you remove the plastic cover over the remote battery? It comes from the factory with plastic on the battery so the remote won't work until you remove that. The battery itself may also be dead.

I myself would skip the WiFi bridge idea. In theory it sounds cool, but you're adding more and more complexity to the system. All these components are extremely cheaply made Chinese electronics, they're not exactly reliable (I've replaced a few components of my system already). Adding even more cheaply made Chinese electronics is asking for trouble in my opinion.
