I would buy American.
That would be my preference but I couldn't find any US made 15" ST tires. What have I missed?

Look for a different brand of tire! I have had great tire experiences with Goodyear "G" "or "E" rated tires.

I received the following response from Maxxis regarding my question about what would be a reasonable date stamped on a new tire purchase.
Thank you for your request. If you buy the ST trailer tire directly from our e-store, we provide tires that are two years old or less from the week of manufacture. If you opt to buy the tires from one of our distributors or dealers, we have no control over what the production date of the tire will be for the tires that they have in stock .
Best regards,
Your Maxxis Support Team
I was surprised by the answer expecting something along the lines of a couple of months. If a tire is 2 years old when new isn't its useful life reduced already by 1/3 if they should be replaced after 6 years, a common recommendation by tire manufacturers?
