Battery box filling up with water.

I just bought an auxiliary battery for my starcraft and when going to put it in, the battery box was full of water. I am guessing it is coming in through the vents in the top. I am scared to but the battery in if this is happening. would it make sense to drill holes in the bottom to make sure it leaks out? Has anyone come across this with a better solution? thanks.

I've had the same issue. I just let the water get in. Once year I take them out and clean connections, etc. and drain it then.
I'd rather not have holes in the bottom that might let corrosive liquid randomly come out and fly back against something on the TT.
During winter storage, I put a board over the tops of them so rain doesn't get in.

Drill the holes. Just make sure you remove the battery first.

I drilled two holes in each my batt boxes... Otherwise when it rains they fill up pretty high with water...
