Is there any way to raise the camper higher off the ground? I keep hitting the back skid plates.

Are your axles above or below the spring hangars? If they are above, you can "flip" the axles by having them remounted under the springs. It makes a huge difference.

I have the same problem but as stated the skids are there for a purpose and removing them might cause a bigger problem for you than the noise.

I hit them all the time no biggy..Make a scraping mark and some noise. You can cut them down and weld on a bracket to shorten, but they are there to protect the plumbing when backing.
