Coleman NXT 200 Grill With 20lb Cylinder?

New grill works fine with 1 lb tank but no gas is getting through with 20lb cylinder & adapter hose. I know I have propane & I know the hose is okay cuz it works with my other grill. Is it just me or does anyone else have the same issue with this grill?

Coleman appliances usually have thier own regulators. If you are using 1 lb cylinders yours has the built in regulator. If your hose has a regulator on it for the 20 lb cylinder, youu will need a hose with acme or pol fitting on one end and the straight threaded Coleman type connector on the other end and no regulator.

I have never had any problem using Coleman appliances with a 30 lb, 20 lb, 11 lb or even 6 lb refillable cylinders using the proper unregulated hose and adapters.

Turns out the problem is my hose.It is a straight hose with no regulator but the valve that needs to open to allow propane flow is set deeper than the valve on 1lb cylinders.The pin on the Coleman regulator is not long enough to depress it. Guess I'll have to find a Coleman hose or check carefully when I buy a new one.

I have used a small Weber grill with a 20lb cylinder and the regulator does not seem to like it. It also keep going through regulators. Weber manual says you should be able to do it but I have never been able to get it to work.

I have a Magma grill and it states in the manual that you should only use 1 lb cylinders or damage will occur to the regulator. They seem to work fine for awhile, then the regulator stops working. Right now is the third regulator off old bbq's that have failed. I will abide by their manual from now on.
