Hello folks- I am in the process of looking to upgrade my 2001 Shasta Phoenix travel trailer. I am looking at the Keystone Laredo and the Dutchman Kodiak, and can't make a darn decision! Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

My currant TT is wood frame and aluminum- so I am looking to upgrade to aluminum frame and glass siding, an both units price similar.

I don't have one, but I have looked at them and believe they are good trailers. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one. I also think that darker color siding would be easier to keep clean

WOW- so helpful so far! We are leaning toward the kodiak at this time. We have 3 kids, 9, 5, and 3. The 3 year old is in a pack and play but will be in a bed next year. Our currant TT has only 1 bunk (and no slide). The difference we found with the kodiak from the Laredo is that you gain the 4th twin (bunk) plus have a small outside kitchen. Looking forward to more replies.

We used to have an HTT and for 3 yrs looked at pretty much every TT on the market. We fell in love with the Kodiak 279 rbsl since the kids are grown and gone, we need less sleeping area and more living area. Over that three year period we would continuously get drawn back to the Kodiak and finally bought it back in March. Love it and have had no regrets or problems. Good luck!

I have a 2012 RLSS, and I love it. No complaints, everything still works like the 1st day, no leaks from the roof, no plumbing issues. Siding is a breeze to clean. The only (re)works I've done on it is to apply some more Dicor to the roof (I'm anal about proper sealing jobs), and I replaced the cheap, galvanized metal electrical box that is located next to the A-frame by a sealed plastic box.

In 1 1/2 seasons, over 4000 miles on the frame, not a single hick-up.
