Ordered a set of overload springs from Hellwig . After speaking to Kevin an being assured that it wouldn't Effect the ride quality when the camper wasn't on the truck . Also purchased the bigwig sway bar . Both were installed ...sway bar helped , the helper springs caused a very rough ride even when U bolts were backed off as far as possible. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Empty, my Dodge is pretty harsh with or without the springs. Remember to let some air out of the tires when you are running empty too. I run 80psi when loaded and 45 empty. That will make a big difference. In fact, I rarely, if ever, unload my overload springs any more. I just lower tire air pressure and know it's a TRUCK! ha!! Giddy-UP!!

I've got both the BigWig and 3,500 pound helper springs as well. I have about 1/2 inch of threads showing after nuts on the u-bolts. Unloaded ride seems similar as before the installation of the springs.

When I backed mine off, the ride returned to normal. If they're loose, not providing any tension, I don't see how they could effect the ride.
