How do I mount TV's in Forest River EVO 2700

Hey guys...Finally back in the RV world after a few years of not having one. We picked up a 2015 Forest River EVO2700. It did not come with TV's but there is a wall to mount (2) 32" tv's. The wall separates the bedroom and the living area. I am just baffled on the best way to mount these things. Do I buy standard mounts like the home mounting kits or??? It seems like the hardware(bolts) are way too big to be screwing into the pocket wall. Any suggestions would be wonderful. I asked the service manager at the dealership but he had no definite answer for me. Thanks in advance

Using a solid back board works for us mounting things to the thin trailer walls...

We was not able to tie into any of the so called studs and use MOLLY BOLTS in the four corners of the solid 3/4-1 inch thick backboard section...

You cannot drill into the thin walls for standard screws. They will just pull right out when you try to hang almost anything on them.

Using the wall studs or MOLY BOLTS works great. The MOLLY BOLTS Spread out behind the wall and would be very difficult to pull through. The SOLID BACK BOARD idea spreads out the weight and allows you to use standard wood screws for your TV mount.

Then you can paint the backboad to match your wall decor and looks very nice.

westend has the best solution.

Depending on your decor you may want to use "project" hard wood like oak or popular from Lowes or Home Depot & stain it accordingly

Get creative & design shelves on either side of the TV in the process.

Don't know particularly about Forest River, but I used a Sanus mount similar to this one to mount a tv to the bedroom/living room wall in my trailer. I used an ultrasonic stud finder to locate a wood stud. My wall uses 1 x 2 and 1 x 3 studs in that wall. I drilled all the way through and used 1/4 inch bolts with large OD washers under the heads on the living room side. The mount is on the bedroom side. I did the same to mount the other tv to the bunkhouse wall with the tv and mount located over the dinette above the original tv shelf which now supports a satellite receiver and DVD player.

Here's what I did to mount a 32" LED/LCD screen on a wood stud wall: Mounted articulating arm with tilt onto a 5/8" piece of plywood that spans three studs (approx 32"). The mount was through bolted with 1/4"-20 bolts to the plywood (I cut recesses in the back of the plywood so that the bolt head was even with the back surface).



I then attached the plywood backer board with mount onto the wall. I used glue and put two --2" --#12 screws into each stud. You can skip the glue if you want to remove the mounting board later.



The final step is bolting the arm mount onto the screen.



Of course, the mounting arm isn't going anywhere and the mount I used folds against the wall when in transport mode. I haven't used a strap to hold it in place (it doesn't move) but I may add that if I'm planning on rough roads.
