New to the RV world and this forum but I suspect I'll be spending a lot of time here in the coming future! Recently decided to purchase a travel trailer for the family (4). Been looking around for the right rig and ran across what I think is perfect for our needs. Would love to hear your input on a 2021 Heartland Mallard M26. What do you guys think of the M26?
We bought a North Trail when Heartland first started. When I tell the horror story, people cant believe we still camp. Not to scare you, because supposedly Heartland has improved, but make sure a) you have a great dealer that will support you, or b) feel comfortable performing all your own service and repairs. That goes for any brand. Also, check out the Heartland Owners Forum and review the posts on your model. Good luck!

Overall looks pretty good. I cant comment on Heartland or Mallard quality, have never owned one. One thing I would check is what do you have access to when the slide is pulled in, can you get to the bathroom, frig, etc. This is very helpful when on the road, if you need to extend the slide to get to the frig or bathroom to me that would be a big hassle.
Can the bathroom door be kept open so the facilities can be used while traveling? That 90 degree angle for TV watching would not be good. The light sticking down above the table is a hazard if you want to use that area for a bed. I would prefer the two door models that are offered for easier loading, safety, door lock problems and less dirt tracked in. Quality in any trailer is not gonna happen.
